Request a local roofing estimate
Request a roofing estimate: describe your project.
To request a roofing estimate, share the leak, damage, roof age, material, property location, and timing. An independent roofing company serving that area can follow up about an inspection and estimate. No published phone number or phone call is required to start. There is no need to diagnose the problem first. Describing what you can see and when it started is enough for a roofing company to prepare for the visit. The form covers residential and commercial requests across 18 local communities, whether the project is an active leak, a full replacement, storm or ice-dam damage, a flashing or skylight repair, an inspection, or specialty work on metal, slate, or a low-slope commercial roof. Submitting a request does not obligate you to hire anyone, and it does not guarantee that a company is available for the specific work. You review whatever proposal comes back and decide independently whether to proceed.
Any responding roofing company is an independent business and provides its own inspection, estimate, contract, warranty, and work. Read the referral disclosure.
What happens after you send a roofing request
A roofing request is read for the town, the roof material, the age of the roof and the timing. Those four details decide which independent roofing company in the service area can follow up, and they let that company prepare for the visit instead of starting with questions.
The company contacts you about an inspection. The inspection looks at the roof surface, the flashings, the eaves, the attic side of the deck and whatever the roof drains into. You then receive a written proposal from the company, not from this site, with the scope, the material, the warranty and the price.
You decide whether to go ahead. Nothing in the form obliges you to hire anyone, and a second proposal from another company is a sensible step for any large job. Photos of the leak or damage, taken from the ground or from inside the attic, help when you can share them safely.
Useful details for the form include the year the roof was last replaced, whether the shingles are asphalt or metal, where the water shows up inside the house, and whether it appears after rain, during a thaw or only when snow is melting on the roof. A leak that appears only during a thaw usually points to an ice dam or a flashing problem at the eaves, and a leak that follows every rain usually points to a failed penetration or a worn field of shingles.
If water is coming through a ceiling now, move belongings, protect what you can and call 911 for any danger to people. The form is for the work that follows.
