That distinction is the most important thing on this page, so it is stated first rather than buried. When you submit a request, an independent roofing company serving the property is the one that responds, inspects, prices, contracts, warrants and performs the work. Your agreement is with them, not with us.

How the content is produced and checked
Legal and regulatory claims are taken from primary sources — Vermont statute, the Secretary of State's Office of Professional Regulation, and municipal offices — and building-science claims from federal agencies and recognised technical bodies rather than from other roofing sites. Where a page cites a source, that source was read.
